"Song #
1. I.R.T. - Well...don't know what to think until I decipher what is actually being said...but I understand the intention of sending a message about the band.
2. Lucid Dementia Show - Ahhh....everyone needs an opening song to present their band. The Talking Heads always opened up with one band member at a time to introduce the members as well as the music. A good touch. As theatrical as your band is this song is great. Sounds like a traditional Lucid Dementia song.
3. Creep - When I first heard this song it reminds me the style from the Twisted time period. The samples (mixes) in the background are an added touch. Love the guitar work on this song.
4. Hush - When I first heard this I thought "Twisted" again but then all of a sudden here comes that new guitar sound that soothes the rest of the song when it picks up. Love the chorus and how it just snaps the song back to that fast rhythm. I must ask...What is the TRUE meaning of "Twisted" to your band as it reappears in this song? RATED AS 2nd BEST SONG.
5. F.U.T. - This song here (to me) seems like a song for the more heavy metal (rock) type of fans. Love the vocals but for some reason I have a hard time relating the chorus (title acronym) and the guitar that follows. Did I say that I like the vocals.....? Lucid Dementia's bizarre (sighing type of vocals-don't know how else to describe) is what really got my attention on the first impression. I know that is what got my brother's attention as I turned it onto him. Screaming never was something that never gave me that buzz.....so to speak.
6. Controlled - A well written and fast paced song. Definitely a new sound for Lucid. I like it the more I listen to it. Holly - You have got one hell of intriguing voice. Just like in the song Lucid Dementia Show I can listen to you forever.......
7. I Let It Go - All I have to say is that this song is Awesome with capital A. If this is a projected future sound for Lucid then I'm all for it. Definitely a great side of Lucid that I wouldn't expect. The vocals are great and I love how the back vocals support the song. ûzeful - Your guitar is great on this song not that I'm taking away the rest of your work but this one shines. You wouldn't happen to be Scottish would you....? Just kidding. Sheldon......Is that you singing........? Great voice! Like I said awesome song. RATED AS No. 1 SONG OF THE RELEASE.
8. When - Great vocals with kind of a new sound on the music. The changing renditions on the guitar are great. Don't know if aware that sometimes the music overpowers the vocals - Thanks for the lyric sheet - helps with music fans that may not be aware of Lucid style of music.
9. Queer - Great song of mixing a new sound of Lucid which I notice throughout the release. I swear that on this song that I have heard Holly in another band? What band did she come from? Luci's point of view on humans.....maybe?
10. I Don't Belong - At first outside of the sample at the beginning it starts a lot like Razor Wrist Grrl but then the change. This is another testament to the vocals and the kick-ass-guitar. RATED AS 3rd BEST SONG.
11. Living In Hell - One great song that is well rounded. It has everything for sound. Distorted guitar is great. I cannot once again mention the vocals. Great harmony. Only thing that I would disagree would be that it kind of describes my life but I don't consider it hell....lol
12. Evil's Garden - A classic Lucid Dementia song. A well written song....Sad but true. It is a great view of how things are today. RATED AS 4th BEST SONG.
13. The Dirtiest Word - A nice fast paced song. At first I really didn't care for it but after time and carefully listening to the lyrics it has gotten better. I was kind of disappointed in the repetition of lyrics at the end of the song.Well there you have it. If you care to share this with the band I would really appreciate it. Sending this directly to you instead of submitting it on your website will not only let you know that I received the CD but to give you the chance to decide what to share.I see/hear great things for this band. I know that the genre is not at the top of the list but the younger generation will keep expanding along with your future..........Good luck Lucid Dementia and thank you for the CD "The List". I will try my hardest to promote this CD within some circles as best as I can. Of course I do not believe in copying music for distribution. I will refer them to the sites for purchasing once they are trapped in the Lucid Dementia.I can't wait until I get the chance to see Lucid Dementia perform. Watching a single woman up on the stage sing and dance to prerecorded music or to music that they did not write or perform themselves is the most boring type of entertainment in the world. I was lucky enough to see Skinny Puppy perform twice (1990 & 1991) and that is what I call entertainment. I have a feeling even without seeing Lucid Dementia live that this entertainment can be comparable."
