Lucho Gatica is re-issuing his historical album Historia de Un Amor. 12 songs featuring duets with Michel Buble, Il Volo, Laura Pausini, Beto Cuevas. Lucho is internationally recognized for his exceptional interpretation of boleros.
This bolero composer was born in Chile, in the little town of Rancagua. Later, he moved to Santiago, the capital where he found success and fama. His musica talent is deep-rooted in his family; his brother Arturo Gatica is a well-known singer.. His career's highest point was between 1950 and 1960, performing extensively in Chile and in most Spanish-speaking contries. In 1954, his song "Sinceridad" was located at the top of the music charts. By 1966 he had sold more than 22 million albums. Some of his most remarkable hits are: "Contigo en La Distancia", "La Barca", "Las Muchachas de la Plaza España", and "Señor Amor". His songs' lyrics have been popular through the tim, not only because of their richness that everybody aknowledges, but also because they have been and are still sung by famous singers such as Armando Manzanero, Roberto Cantoral, Agustin Lara and Luis Miguel to name a few. Gatica has performed with Olga Guillot, Armando Manzanero, and has been accompanied by the Real Orquesta Filarmonica.
