Fun, Strange and Frightfully Fresh

"I found this CD fun, strange and frightfully fresh.
Lucan Wolf takes a sly sensual take on vampires with Night World.
Songs like "The Vampire" and "Bitten By Love" are romantic yet have a creepy tounge-in cheek feel that's refreshing given all the bland "goth" and "vampire" themed music out today.
"Along The Edge Of Time" is a song I love about ghostly love that lasts forever. "Haunted" is a sheer cheesey delight with a funk driven post 70's groove.
"Night World" also makes great Halloween party music and guests at my last Halloween party loved it. MY GOD! Music you can actually play around children and NOT worry about! I'm sure metalheads and goths will hate it, and that's the point!
Some will either love or hate Lucan Wolf but you have to admire his guts for standing out from the what has now become "mainstream gothic" pretentiousness.
He appears to follow no rules or trends but his own and delights in thumbing his nose at corporate trend setters. Good for him!
His 2nd CD "Vampire Nights" I suggest you also get. I loved it even more!

"I thought this was a cool CD. Why would someone give it a bad review when they didn't bother to listen to samples or the whole CD like the two morons who gave it bad comments?
I liked "The Vampire" and "Kindred" my two favorite songs on the CD. This isn't like some heavy metal "I love Satan" crap I have heard."

"I think this CD is so strange it's great.
Where else or WHO else would sing a vampire song called "Bitten By Love" to a latin samba beat? You gotta love it.
The singing is good and the playing also. The production could be better in spots but overall it's easy on the ears.
It's all rather campy but still fun."

"I enjoyed this CD alot. His 2nd CD "Vampire Nights" is even better but this CD is cool. It's opening track "The Vampire" is really sexy and Lucan Wolf sets a romantic but spooky tone from there with songs like "Night World" and "Kindred". The song "Along The Edge Of Time" is beautiful. I give it 4 stars for being different from the usual angry grunt and scream vampire stuff out there now. Lucan if you're reading this you can have my neck anytime!
