CD Reviews

Only improves with age.

(5 out of 5 stars)

"First heard Tragic Songs of Life when I was about 6. Such are the melodies, they haunted me all my life. Every track is poignant and entices you to listen closer as the story unfolds.
Aptly named, the sadness of the lyrics are thought provoking.
But, the melodies have, like all great music, that 'something' that when you next hear them, you feel you have known them all your life.
Am desperate to obtain this alubm on CD as at present have it on vinyl."
My dad went ballistic!

"My dad had been searching for ANYTHING by these guys, having loved them since he was a kid. I found this CD at a local CD store and bought it for him. I often joke this was when I became "Daddy's favorite." There were so many songs on here that he had been looking for, and several he didn't know the Louvin Bros had recorded! This is a great album. It piqued my interest in bluegrass and made me a fan for life!"
