CD ReviewsLouis Prima and His Orch 1945 A. D. Maroulis | New York, NY | 08/06/2009 (4 out of 5 stars) "An excellent collection of Louis Prima and His Orchestra's WW II era recordings. A number of Prima's V-Disc recordings are heard here, originally destined for the troops overseas, these 78 records are usually in awful shape but are heard here in fine form. Prima's vocalist at the time was the sweet Lily Ann Carol who appears here on a few recordings. I believe the French record label that released this CD went out of business and that is unfortunate because they delivered a quality product. Perhaps someone will compile these 1930s-1940's recordings into one boxed set."
