"I was first introduced to Lorez Alexandria as a child. This was one of those many jazz records that was played on the stereo constantly in my house. I never took a real appreciation of her talent until I got older. My father used to always listen to her. Her phrasing was and is such a delight to listen to even today. I still listen to the LP from time to time when I visit my parents. The accompanient of Jimmy Cobb, Wynton Kelly, Louis Haynes and Al McKibbon was a superb choice of sidemen. Everything still sounds just right. I can still remember most of the words to every song on this compilation. This is a vocalist I have introduced to my family now. All I can say is this brings back so many good memories."
