Synopsis

Album Description
2008 release, the third album from these sleazy rockers featuring Michael Davis of the legendary MC5. Think MC5. Think Rolling Stones. Think Iggy Pop. Think Sex Pistols. If you mixed them all up, turned it upside down and added extra adrenalin, then you'd get The Lords Of Altamont. It's dirty, sleazy LA biker Rock......it's The Lords Of Altamont! Easy Action.

CD Reviews

A far-out trip through a hard rock tunnel
Burst' Bucker | Grand Rapids, MI USA | 11/26/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"The Lords (here temporarily bolstered by MC5 bassist Michael Davis) are LA biker rock with an evil, black-leather vibe. The sound is pure 60's garage rock (organ and fuzz guitar) without getting too cute about it. They are definitely not a part of the "lets dress up like it's 1966" scene, and this disc is infinitely better for it. Word is these guys actually ride, so the repeated references to biker culture are not just part of the act. (the import version on the Easy Action label is packaged in an oversized cardboard sleeve, like a cd single; can't say how the US version on Gearhead is packaged. The cardboard sleeve LOOKS cool, but probably won't last long once this cd goes into heavy rotation in my car)"
