CD ReviewsFun but slight V. G. Wilson | Pittsburgh, PA | 03/10/2008 (3 out of 5 stars) "A fun album overall, but not as interesting as its "sister" album, "Smoke and Fire". That record features Page and Beck with Lord Sutch on another "heavy friends" outing, and has a lot of cool guitar jams, and far fewer early rock 'n roll covers.
If you're a Blackmore fanatic, as I am, you'll probably want this, if you have everything else he's recorded. Otherwise, check out Smoke and Fire first (or any of the tons of rare Deep Purple out there)." |
