"I bought this CD on the advice of a friend because it's not the type of music I normally listen to. But after listening to the opening 4 songs I'm convinced that Lois Bourgon has one of the most beautiful coloratura soprano voices that I've ever heard. Her song selection here is based on some Broadway standards and 3 of the songs are either duets with other Broadway performers like "Too Many Mornings" or her exquisite "Parade" medley which combines 2 different songs from 2 distinctly different Broadway shows. The fun and lively "You Can Drive A Person Crazy" is an Andrews Sisters throwback and is a big kick! But the classiest songs feature Lois double tracked on "Song on the Sand" and her passion comes through on Stephen Sondheim's "Children Will Listen". I normally like rock music but I am absolutely enthralled with Lois's soaring velvety sound. I hope she makes more of this kind of music. It's well worth the investment because these songs are standards and they'll live on forever. And I think after you listen to this, we'll wish Lois would too."
