The birth of greatness

"It is not often that I find an artist who totally captures my ears and heart. Lizzie West did all of that with one single song: Chariots Rise. I heard it on the Secretary soundtrack (now out of print) and had to purchase everything else this woman had out on the music scene. Lizzie's music cannot be compared to anyone else because she is unique -- she doesn't take "no" for an answer and plays by her own rules. You can hear heartache and elation in her words -- each chord blends seamlessly with the lyrics to make a musical masterpiece. Do yourself a favor and buy this album (also pick up her full length, Holy Road: Freedom Songs) -- I guarantee that these two discs will not leave your cd player anytime soon."

"If you have been watching Dawson's Creek on TBS lately then you have seen the commercials with this song. And yes this is the song on the CD, all of it, not just the snippets we've been hearing on the TV! "Sometime" is by Lizzie West and this is her album that she put out in 2002. I guess the producers decided that since Dawson's Creek is airing it's final episode May 14th, that they needed an appropriate song to go with it's demise. This song is it and it's wonderful. Lizzie West is a true talent and deserves a listen more than the few seconds on TBS. Enjoy!!"
