"This stunning, dazzling CD shows the evolution followed by Liuba Maria Hevia towards a purer, more sensitive (if possible) and characteristic style of her own. Free of the excesses in the arrangements of her previous work (thanks to the comeback of Reynaldo Rodriguez, co-founder of the group), Del verso a la mar is possibly one of the best albums ever released by the Eurotropical label. Too bad this label is famous by severely underpromoting its own material. Liuba Maria Hevia is the biggest unknown (outside Cuba, this is) star of the Nueva Trova genre. If you do not know her, buy this CD and discover lyrics that are pure poetry, exquisite arrangements and above all a wonderfully warm voice.The colaboration of sacred cows of the Cuban music as Silvio Rodriguez, Chucho Valdes and Miriam Ramos, along with the first musicians of the Orquesta Nacional de Cuba and Orquesta Sinfonica de Matanzas make this album a masterwork not just to be listened but to be studied, and in my case, adored."
