Hot off the heels of their Kiss MY WAMI win for Best New Band and Best Female Vocalist, and just in time to coincide with their East Coast appearances on Livid, Perth quartet, Little Birdy, finally release their debut EP. All the songs on the EP were written by the band (Katy Steele-lead vocals/guitar, Simon Leach-vocals/guitar, Scott O'Donoghue-bass, and Matt Chequer-drums). They were co-produced by Little Birdy with Andy Lawson, Joel Quartermain and Rodney Aravena from Perth?s Debaser Studios. The four song CD includes "Relapse", the haunting track that?s currently the #1 most requested song on Triple J?s Net 50. Eleven. 2005.

"These guys are great! The female singer's seductive voice inspires its own uniqueness. Lately I've heard some of the newer, heavier stuff on the radio (JJJ mostly) and it's easy to tell that band are little birdy even before it's announced.This kind of music is considered rock but with each song holding a very distinctive sound and originality in song writing, particularly musically. Anyone who's heard "Relapse" and "Baby Blue" has been pretty interested in who Little Birdy are.If you can get a copy of this cd grab it. If not check them out in their next ep or their debut album because they won't dissapoint."

"This is Little Birdys first E.P after being 'discovered' only this year. Baby Blue is perhaps the Best Track followed by Relapse. Her voice could be compared to Cyndi Laupers except with a rock/alternative sound. Buy if you like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Blondie, or if you are a fan of alternative music."
