CD Reviews

A few choice cuts, otherwise un-inspiring.

"Very disappointing album. Given the quality of the single "Fire up the Shoesaw," I had anticipated an album surpassing possibly even the great Fatboy Slim. A thoroughly average album, good to have on in the background. Worth the thirteen bucks."
Lionrock is what all electronica should be

"Call it whatever you want, techno, electronica, anything. The thing about this album is that it breaks those barriers. By combining singing and breakbeats Lionrock has formed a dynamite album. If you hear Fireup the Shoesaw (vocal mix), you will know what I'm talking about. Buy this album."
Straight At Yer Head

"I first heard Lionrock when i was in high school. (Great, now i feel old). Back in the days where Internet Radio was just starting, and I became exposed to a lot of different music that you don't get to hear on the radio. I bought the cd for the song I heard on the net (Fire Up The Shoesaw). However, I found much of the cd to be more entertaining. It's different. I had been looking everywhere for the cd, and could not find it. I ended up discovering it in a discount bin at a department store. I think the cd has a lot to offer, be it the jazzy type of songs "Straight at Yer Head" or the bumping techno of "Are You Ready To Testify?" Give it a chance. Sometimes first impressions are wrong. Listen to it while you're in the mood to really listen and soak it all in."
