"Most people know Lindsay Price as the most compelling part of a string of insubstantial American TV series: Couples, Lipstick Jungle, Eastwick, etc.. A beautiful woman with a sexy whisper of a voice. The question here is whether she can sing. Yes! She has a lovely voice best used in the throaty conversational register matching her speaking voice, but which can go high as needed. This is not an actress who gets by for a cast album of a musical, this is an actual professional level pop singer.



I did like the surprising borrowing of country music elements, and some of the tracks are quite peppy and show good range. If I had to choose, I'd say the best track is Forever Long Friend which has the clearest vocals and the most personality.



But the album as a whole is unsatisfying. At no time do I feel the intimacy of a song that is emotionally relevant to the singer; competent singing is not enough for me. And at times the accompanying music overwhelms the vocals; a problem with the mixing. She deserves better source material and production value.



Still, if you are a fan of Lindsay Price the actress, you will enjoy seeing this added dimension of this multi-purpose performer."
