"The US Black Metal scene has always been different than those originators from the Scandinavian territories. While the majority of the bands in the Nordic icy lands want to be on top of the dance charts these days, American bands like Leviathan only gets fueled with even more mental demonism to continue warring onwards. The material from Howl Mockery At The Cross consists of remastered demo tracks, unreleased tracks, and a cover song (no, it's not a Darkthrone song). Though one could imagine how a Leviathan demo would actually really sound, they do not really sound different than any of Leviathan's "normal" studio efforts. Lo-fi primitive black metal is what you'll get here and nothing much else. For purists only."
