Rancho Viejo, Mexico is Leti De La Vegas second CD. Born in Harlingen, Texas, she presents her familys blend of original Tejano music. The Sanchez-De La Vega family has played music for generations. Four generations of her family perform on this CD with her. Leti is a wonderful singer and songwriter. Her vocals can be both cheerful and at times very haunting. She spent her summers in Mexico at Rancho Viejo where she absorbed music from Mexico and Texas. Her music reflects the influences of both cultures. The material on this album try to reflect an aspect of the history of the Felix Sanchez family ranch on the Mexican side of the Rio Grande just on the other side of Los Indios, Texas thus the title, Rancho Viejo, Mexico.
