CD Reviews

Another step forward for LTJ
Debra Schappell | PA, USA | 05/23/2003
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is an excellent follow-up to Borders and Boundries, and may be the best LTJ album to date. They've re-done Look What Happened and it's even better on Anthem. Despite the misconception that they've become too "pop-punk" it's more like they've matured as a band both lyrically and how the songs are written. They evolve themselves through every new album, and this is no different. You may not hear as many horn parts, but it's still definitly Less Than Jake, and any fan that's not too stubborn to accept change should love it. My personal favorite tracks are The Ghosts of You and Me and Best Wishes to Your Black Lung. There are a lot of other great songs though, it's one of those albums that makes it hard to pick out ONE song above the rest because they're all excellent."
