Passionate, affectionate, sincere, virtuous...

"When this title have been disappeared( sold out) from the lists of J.C. Malgoire and T.Koopman CD's, I've instantly being realized of its immense value. Then, I've hysterically begun searching for one, at any price. Fortunately, it happened to be listed as one of Ensemble Fitzwilliam CD's, so I finally ordered it.

Where to start from? It is a music potpourri of the representative European baroque assembles, leaders and actors. Maestro J. C. Malgoire and his cast of James Bowman for Giulio Cesare, aria "Va tacito e nascosto" is just as brilliant to be the reason to have this CD.

Pierre Hantai and his interpretation of D. Scarlatti is complete phenomena: completely new, just discovered, and strongly personal touch to the popular subjects of this sonatas reveals the advanced study of that material that still young and "supercharged" Pierre Hintai introduces to the public- again, phenomenal!.

Ensemble Baroque de Limoges (Cristophe Coin) and Barbara Schlick are playing Aria "Bete aber aush dabei" with so much sincere passion that I couldn't help listening it again and again...This is...for the most part, ...likely to be, the best baroque compilation ever!
