"I have been a Leisure fan for awhile and have seen him take huge steps with each album he releases. With the way things look (and sound) now, I see him taking his biggest leap yet with the release of Jet Set Baby and a label fully supporting his efforts. Jet Set Baby gives a nod to all those great songwriters who know how to inject some serious and honest attitude in their music (think Elvis Costello) but it also contains songs with an edge and rawness that brings it to the forefront of today's much talked about rock revival. I wish I could say at this time what my favorite track is but I can't. Jet Set Baby plays like a soundtrack full of imagery and dynamic that you want to experience from start to finish. 100% is a definite standout though. The song should be a classic and this version is a scaled back but better sounding version of my favorite track off Nappy Superstar. I also like the lo-fi rock sound on songs like "This Girl" and "Serenade" as well as the more commercial radio sounding "Like That" (this needs to be on the radio for sure). Any dislikes? Honestly, no. Who should buy the album? Everyone. Seriously. It's just as much for those who like Elvis Costello and Joe Jackson as those who dig Weezer and also those who dig some of the lo-fi rockers on the radio today (but this is better 'cause Leisure has songs)."
Pure Fun.....

"I bought this after seeing it on several POWER POP "listmanias"....what a great album. The songs fall into one of two categories here.....catchy or heartfelt. The up tempo stuff will stick in your head like a radio jingle....but in a good way. The slower stuff will make you remember the first great love in your life....and the heartbreak that came with it. This is one worth taking the blind leap on."
Sensational CD from start to finish

"This record SMOKES! No doubt about it. Exciting, fun to get to know. Has a good, modern edge to it but still invokes my best memories of my partying days and rocking in frat houses. Good record to add to your collection of "records to put on at parties". I look forward to seeing them live. heard it's a rockin' show... -dp"

"If this guy is coming to your town, you need to see him. He's got a BIG, BIG sound that hasn't been heard in the past few years. If you're into the late 70's, early 80's anti-disco groove thing, you will love this CD. What a throwback with a future!!!"
