Though the name Legion of the Damned is new, this is really the band Occult (with a name change). Here you will find sharp-tinged, straight ahead mosh madness. There isn't anything fancy or really innovative on this release. Many of the songs sound similar and use age-old riff formulas. But I must admit, I got some satisfying neck whiplash from uncontrolled headbanging. Though I believe 2004's Elegy for the Weak is a better effort (under the Occult name), Malevolent Rapture is a excellent standard for German thrash."
