"This is one of their early albums, and probably one of their best, but that's very very difficult to decide since they have a lot of albums (around 30) an all of them range from very good to excellent.
This album is very electronic, with evident gothic touches here and there ('Casting the runes'), but always complemented with other instruments: violins, guitars and obviously sweet Ka-spel's voice.
All the songs in this album are good, some are simply excellent. some examples:
'Casting the runes', sounds like a gothic song but obviously with LPD signature. 'The Gallery' is an incredible song, very theatrical and orchestral, the only similar thing I've ever heard is Pink Floyd's 'The Trial'. 'Waiting for the cloud' is a 10-minute song constituted in 3 different parts, the 1st and the 3rd very melancholic (very similar to later LPD songs 'New Tomorrow' and 'Cheraderama'), and the 2nd more energetic, with electric guitar and catchy chorus. 'The Light in my little girl's eyes' is an old song reshaped now with violins, very emotional and a superb song.
I'd write a longer review but I don't want to exhaust you. If you own 'The Golden Age' and love it, 'Any Day Now' will be perfect for you. Anyway, any LPD album is good at least, and this is just one of the most beautiful works of art I've ever experienced. Buy it, do yourself a favour, buy it."
If you don't love this album YOU'RE CRAZY.

"One of my overall favorite Dot's albums. The very peak of their classic sound that sold me on the band. Perhaps the best "starting point" for new fans.(Along with Crushed Velvet, Maria Dimension, and the Golden Age). Guaranteed to make your life urgently serene....."waiting for the cloud" will change your life!"
