The Legacy Five is for real

"Like many southern gospel fans in general and Cathedral Quartet fans in particular I was a little skeptical about the Legacy Five but "Strong in the Strengh" made a believer out of me. Their sound is huge! The songs "God's Love", "I Stand Redeemed","I Believe" and "Forgiven" left me speechless. Scott Fowler in his new role as lead singer as never sounded better. Tenor Jason Cobb must have been the best kept secret in southern gospel music. Listen for him on "I Stand Redeemed". Then with all five voices singing together their sound will blow you away. We will miss the Cathedrals very much but the Legacy Five will go a long way to ease the pain."

"This CD is the best,I believe Legacy Five will be producing more inspiring CDs.All of the songs have Gods saving message in them.Josh Cobb for as young as he is is doing awesome.His beautiful tenor is one of the best.I have been blessed to be able to be in concert several times this year with them and was blessed to hear them at NQC.Rodger Bennett and Scott Fowler you are the best and Glenn Dustin and Scott Howard with their beautiful voices are a great addition to this group.The moving songs of "thats what grace is for","I Believe",Strong In the Strength"I stand Redeemed"are some of the finest southern Gospel Music that you will find out on the market.I would recomend this CD to any one who Likes SGM to minister to them this is definately the one to buy.With Satin fighting like he has in Rodgers life with his cancer returning and God having the final victory with his healing and remission, you know it is a true work of God for this CD to propser and to minister to others.If you ever get a chance to be in concert with them I recommend for you to go see this group they do not hesitate for one minute to tell you about the blood of Jesus and his Saving Grace.You will be truly blessed."

Exemplary Project in Every Respect

"I first heard this project before the final mixing;I was blown away by the blending of the voices, and the strength of the convictions the songs displayed. This group is outstanding, and I feel that this is the first of many outstanding projects for this new group. Roger Bennett has to be one of the most talented composers and pianists in Southern Gospel music; he has outdone himself on this initial project. Scott Fowler moves up to sing the lead and blows people away! His singing of "I Believe" shows the powerful testimony that he lives daily and the depth of his love for the Lord! Scott Howard has a rich,deep, strong baritone voice, and he really adds to the sound of this quartet. His talent is very evident when he sings "That's What Grace Is For". Josh Cobb is probably the best young tenor singer that I have heard in a long time, and as he matures, his voice will only get stronger. Josh really shows his talent as he sings "I Am Redeemed". Last, but not least, GLenn Dustin is already an outstanding bass singer! He really shines as he is featured on "Stepping Out Into the Water'. I have seen this group sing a number of times, and they only get better each time that you hear them!"

A great piece of work

"I agree with "a music fan, from CA," this is a very good group. They will help ease the pain of the retirement of the Cathedrals. I was afraid that after the Cathedrals retired, and J.D. Sumner had passed on, that there would only be one good quartet left, that being Gold City. In my humble opinion any way. With the arrival of Legacy Five, I can now rest more comfortably knowing that there is a young, good quartet that will be around a long time to help keep gospel quartet music alive. I like most all of the music on this CD. Though I prefer uptempo songs, my favorite on this CD is the slower "A Vessel of Mercy." What a beautiful melody of voices that is. It's one of the few songs I have ever heard that really moves me. And I'll be honest, I am not an emotional guy. I have seen them in person and they are fantastic. I recommend this CD to every gospel quartet fan. L5 has started off with a great piece of work. I just pray that Roger Bennett's health will allow him to stay on with the group."

"I had mixed emotions about L5, but all of those doubts have been laid to rest. Undoubtedly, the most moving song, and best sounding song on the CD is "We Are Home." Roger Bennett has outdone himself with this one. Not only did he write it, but as the lead singer on this track, Roger has proved his versatility. This CD is a wonderful addition to my collection and I recommend this CD to everybody"
