"Put together by a network of collectors, this series seeks to be the complete and definitive collection of Lee Wiley's early (and often best) work. The sound quality is topnotch and the playback speeds (often a problem on recordings of this age) are pitch-perfect. This is one of the best in the series so far (although vol. 3 may be the best Wiley disc out there) and is hugely satisfying. The price, you may have noticed, is startlingly low. The cds are pretty bare-bones in terms of notes, but this was a choice made to facilitate the low cost and the collectabilty of the entire series. The company's web site features more details on the music, and even printable cd notes. Also, the company will mail additional notes at no cost. Seems a strange set up, but to come out with complete recordings of this quality at this price is quite an achievement, so I'll go along with whatever they can cook up. Current and potential Lee Wiley fans should not hesitate to purchase the discs in this series."
