A true milestone in the history of westcoast-fusion

"I'm quite surprised that I'm the first person to give this legendary album a review. Friendship was truly one of the most important fusion groups of the 70's. Led by one of the greatest guitarplayers of our time Lee Ritenour it was breaking new ground in the world of contemporary jazz alongside with other artists such as Tom Scott & The L.A. Express, Larry Carlton etc. This kind of music found a home in famous L.A. jazzclubs such as The baked Potato and Donte's.

The playing on this album is absolutely stunning and the sound quality is fantastic (recorded direct to disc).

A must have for every devoted Ritenour fan, and highly recommended for those who haven't yet discovered the wonderful world of westcoast-fusion.
