"Tebaldi's earliest (1949-1952) concert recordings (Decca; Cetra) showing why her voice took the opera world by storm! This first version of the famous aria from Catalani's La Wally is sheer heaven. The other items are in the same level; all show a pure, luminous lyric soprano voice of unearthly beauty. Preiser's re-masterings are well-nigh perfect: clear, sweet and noiseless. A real gift for Renatas many, many fans."
