"This was quite an unexpected treat. A friend of mine gave me this double disc cd as a gift, and I was a little afraid of it. Remixes of Billie Holliday, Nina Simone, or (*gasp*) Ella Fitzgerald? Unthinkable! How could it be? But I gave it a try anyway, and to my utter delight, found that it was a fantastic disc, and has fallen into my regular musical rotation quite tidily. The blend of newer artists, especially the tracks from Thievery Corporation and Tetris, bring the discs together quite well. It's a surprisingly solid offering that delievers very laid-back, night time grooves that weave through the transom of thought and find themselves roiling sinuously in your dreams. Perfect for a late-night rendezvous, a slow cruise through the city at 3 am, or just a quiet evening at home with a good book and a glass of wine. Not to be missed."
