Their militant approach is certainly dated, nevertheless the lyrics are an artistic success in that they make the listener understand and even feel the emotion of the performer. You get all this, plus the fact that the Last Poets are the poineers of modern gansta rap. I highly recommend this album. p.s. sampled by countless hip-hop artists, including Tribe Called Quest."
