CD Reviews

Obedience to what rule?
Guylaine Le Ber | St-Hubert, Qc | 05/25/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I usually stay away from instrumental music as I often find the mood becomes repetitive. Not this one, it's like an ongoing discussion between people but done by some instruments instead. Like humans, those instruments have all a different way to express themselves with their own emotions (sometimes calm, one a the time, sometime more animated or everybody at the same time). Simple chords ingeniously arranged together to make a piece. I enjoy the cello as usual.I recommend this cd for Mogwai's listener. They say it sounds like "Godspeed you black emperor" also, but I don't know as I am not familliar with them. I should give them a try as this band is from my town and their name come back very often.Best songs on this cd are "Last ditch" and "Someting terrible is about to happen"."
