Larry's voice is among the best baritones in contemporary music. Maybe his lower register worked against him in a time when high-pitched male vocals were all the rage. (Bee Gees, etc.) His lone hit single, "We Can't Hide It Anymore" holds up pretty well on this live CD, performed many years after its initial release.
Santos is a stealth artist. Most adults know the sound of his voice instantly, but have no idea who he is! Remember Budweiser's "Bring Out Your Best" commercials on TV? That's Larry!" |
