CD Reviews

Hawkwind-'Friends&RelationsThe Rarities'(Anagram/Cherry Red)
Mike Reed | USA | 12/23/2004
(3 out of 5 stars)

"Fifteen cuts of odds and rarities that were recorded by either Hawkwind or spin-off bands of the long-running UK space rock institution.Sort of dug the two Underground Zero tunes,"Aimless Flight" and "Rainbow Warrior",the Hawkwind live snippet of "Psychedelia Lives"(this cut originally showed up on a bootleg recording,so I've heard)as well as the two Inner City Unit tracks "I.C.U." and "Human Beings".Certainly cannot go without mentioning the humorous novelty song,if you want to call it that,"Phone Home Elliott" by none other than Uncle Nik&The E.T's.A real riot.Pretty much aimed toward die-hards."
