CD ReviewsGreat set, performances and sound madamemusico | Cincinnati, Ohio USA | 04/09/2002 (5 out of 5 stars) "If Lambert, Hendricks & Ross had gotten sonics this good on Columbia I think their records might have been even more highly praised and sought-after. This live 1963 set finds Ceylonese soprano Yolande Bavan replacing Annie Ross and, though her diction is a little odd, she swings equally well and fits in like she belongs with Lambert & Hendricks. Every performance is a jewel, the backup band swings, and you have the bonus of hearing the great Thad Jones on trumpet and Booker Ervin on tenor sax. Highly recommended, even though the set IS only 38 minutes long!!"
