Synopsis

Product Description
Ladyhawk's kiss-of-death evokes the devilish sounds of "Goats Head Soup" guitars, the honey-slides and howling of Neil Young in his darkest hours, and the phantoms that haunted Roky Erickson at the Holiday Inn. "Shots" is an album filled with the cold creaking and ghostly echoes of an old house in the dead of winter.

CD Reviews

Great New Album!
Jess R. Melle | Saskatoon, Canada | 03/12/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This album is fantastic! If you liked their first album I am sure you will love this one. I found about half the songs good on the first album. Pretty much all of the songs are great on this one. It has lots of funky rhythms and songs usually start out kind of slow and cool and then build into really rocking out at the end. I would definitely recommend buying this and also checking them out live!"
Good Stuff
J. Hughes | 06/14/2008
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Very cool stuff. I heard Ashtray on my college radio and the vamping and slacker vibe instantly reminded me of classic Wowee Zowee Pavement. The rest of the stuff is catchy as hell and sounds like a less apocalyptic Wolf Parade, or early Isaac Brock through the filter of a beer drinking grad student, not as emotional or genius, more refined white trash bar hangers on."
