Synopsis

Album Description
Ladyhawk sing about life and love. They're rockers and dreamers, still trapped in their apple country teenage minds, looking for girls and kicks, and mining their teenage quarries from the inside-out. This debut is a stomping and sweaty ride through the Vancouver streets they all know, as viewed from the seats of a bruised and doorless Astro Van. Ladyhawk's core is bracing rock. Neil Young's "Tonight's The Night" is the hailstorm on the hood of The Replacements' "Let It Be", while distorted guitars invoke the thread and swerve of Silkworm and Dinosaur Jr. It'll be hard to find a more hauntingly beautiful set of rock music than this debut.

"I Love Ladyhawk.

Sonically and lyrically, this album is one of the more raw and honest albums I've ever heard. Each song is solid, and I can't quite put my finger on it but they're definately doing something right. Although they carry a distinctly independent sound, what they lack in overall catchiness they make up for in emotional depth. And they just might be good (and unpretentious) enough to possess that killer mainstream appeal - this band could be huge. This band will be huge.

Thank you Ladyhawk."
