Great Lupe Music in Bad CD!

"...If you, like me, lived through La Lupe's era, you know that this album is one of her best... We were waiting a long time for the CD to come out so that we could enjoy this excellent work in all its "digitally remastered" glory... But not such a luck.
The record company has released a product that is not even worthy of the worst bootleggers out there... Believe it or not this CD sounds like they took an old vinyl LP and transfered it to CD using home equipment... This was certainly NOT done from the original masters...
So, if you are tempted to spend [money] on this my advice is "save your money or give it to charity"...Continue playing your old LP which is probably in much better condition than the one they used for this horrible CD..."

This should NOT have been reissued under these conditions!!!

"Any La Lupe fan knows that this was one of her best albums and that she was really (artistically) at her best at the time these songs were recorded. Sadly, this CD was mastered from a horrible-sounding LP and as such does this great music no justice whatsoever. It's very sad and shameful to hear this CD under such conditions."

"As a La Lupe fanatic, I would rate this CD as one of her best. She's on fire on this recording, and the energy level is through the roof! Just listen to "Con Un Nuevo Amor" and "Cubana Caliente." And she serves up a healthy portion of the Latin soul we've come to expect on cuts like "Vagabundo" & "Puedes Decir De Mi." Sadly, the recording and the CD mastering are not the greatest, but everthing else shines through - big time. Paul T."
