The Lim Family are an incredibly talented group who love their Hawaiian roots-- the culture, the stories, the environment, the music, the hula, the people. And it shows in their work. Their voices are all beautiful (just as the people they belong to) and the musicianship is amazing. (Sonny Lim played slack key guitar on the first grammy winning Hawaiian CD this last year.) The Lim ladies are masters of the hula, too... their hula halau has won the Merrie Monarch hula festival many times. The music on this CD represents some of their best work. In particular, sit back & listen to the beautiful Pua 'Olena done by Lorna Lim. These are "real" people who love their music & love performing it for others. If ever on the Big Island of Hawai'i, check the resorts on the Kohala coast north of Kailua-Kona... you'll probably find one or more of the Lims performing. Don't miss going to see & hear them!
