Hacienda Records presents the debut CD of Sorpresa Musical, a group from the interior of Mexico. In 2002, guitarist, Fernando Mercado Garcia and drummer, Antonio Mercado Soto started the group and began performing under the name of Sendero Musical. Years later, after they had opened for groups such as Los Angeles Azulez and Infieles de Durango, the group became quite surprised at how the public was responding to their music. The name Sorpresa Musical (surprise) quickly became a nickname and eventfully the official name.
Today, Sorpresa Musical has taken their music into every region of Mexico. Now, as official artists of Hacienda Records, their music will be presented to a worldwide audience.
