Pfeffer | St Louis, MO | 07/31/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "This is one of those Concord combination deals where they put 2 separate discs together and sell them as a mini box set. Disc 1 was originally released as Watch What Happens and is the first studio disc when Jeff Hamilton came into the group. Disc 2 is Live at Montreux; Jeff's first recorded Live performance with the group. If you alredy have these discs, you won't be getting anything new from this set.
I truly see these LA4 discs (10 total) as the last incubation period for the formation of Ray Brown's great trios. All have very wonderful musicianship and are well worth purchasing." |
