Synopsis

Album Description
Kylie Minogue's Greatest Hits 87-99' is 33 tracks covering the first 12 years of her phenomenal career. Featuring four #1 singles ('Locomotion', 'I Should Be So Lucky', 'Got To Be Certain' & 'Confide In Me'), this is the ultimate introduction to Kylie's musical output prior to her #1 smash hit, 'Spinning Around'. This double disc compilation also features several single mixes which have been unavailable since their original single release, including 'What Do I Have To Do?', 'Finer Feelings', 'Locomotion', 'Put Yourself In My Place', 'Breathe', & 'Cowboy Style'. Additionally, tracks such as 'Dancing Queen (from the 'Intimate & Live' album), 'Tears' (as featured on the Australian only EP 'Other Sides') & 'The Real Thing' (as featured on the 'Sample People' soundtrack) round out this comprehensive collection. Please note this Australian exclusive features different tracks to the US version, has

CD Reviews

Better than Greatest Hits 87-97 and Ultimate Kylie!
Devin Colton | New York | 07/11/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Out of both Greatest Hits 87-97 and Ultimate Kylie, this CD has the best tracklisting, although it may not have a 3rd disc of Parlophone singles (which are on Ultimate Kylie) this CD is pretty accurate. It includes the right single mixes including the Original Australian Version of Locomotion (Worldwide got The Loco-Motion, a remixed re-recorded version of the Australian Locomotion) and this CD contains the 3 singles that all the other Greatest Hits manage to leave off: Turn It Into Love, It's No Secret and Cowboy Style (Radio Edit). Although this album would have been complete if it had the following missing singles: Keep On Pumpin' It (Angelic Edit) and German Bold Italic (GBI) (Radio Edit), it still receives 5 stars because it's the closest thing we'll ever get to a complete Greatest Hits until perhaps 2007, which will mark Kylie's 20th year as a recording artist superstar, who of course IS better than Madonna and is the true Queen of Pop."
A great album capturing (most of) Kylie's greatest material!

"This features all of Kylie's 'Pwl' hits, not like the dire , recent, phoney ULTIMATE KYLIE, as well as her 'deconstruction' hits. This does not feature any of her 'Parlophone' work (a good thing, trust me!). It even features her Japanese number 1 hit, TURN IT INTO LOVE, and the USA top 40 hit IT'S NO SECRET, which - unknown to most people - reached number 4 in Japan.

Every track here is at least very good. The only bad point to make is that it does not feature her club hit KEEP ON PUMPIN' IT, or GBI. Though I suppose that is forgiveable, since this is a hits compilation. Both failed top 40 in UK chart."
