"I've loved Kris Kristoferson for 30 years. I've rarely purchased an album by this artist I didn't relish. This album is no exception -- with songs about friends and family that touch the heart -- and are lyrical, too. I do object to the "standard" version of any release that shorts the consumer by shortening playing time. Frankly, I'm amazed no one has brought up this issue at this writing.



As someone who's lived his life as a licensing agent, I think I understand why the album is so brief; however, the consumer should not have to shell out full-ticket for a very short album. The deluxe issue is great, but most of us buy the audio-only album in most cases.



NEW WEST is a good label with many fine releases to their credit, but I felt shorted by this one -- and fully expect to receive slams from listeners because of my opinions. Those who follow this artist SHOULD purchase it, but five-star albums have many dimensions -- and one of them happens to be playing time. I assign four stars to this one because of playing time."
