Product Description

Hawaii's acoustic guitar trio, Kohala, performing an acoustic blend of island folk and jazz, live in Honolulu at the rRed Elephant. This is Kohala's only live album, and it features songs their fans have requested during their last 10 years of touring the US and Japan. The show was emceed by Derrick Malama, the host of Hawaii Public Radio s Morning Edition. Although Kohala is primarily an instrumental group, Adelle Tripp (band member Rupert's wife) danced hula for a few songs and her husband accompanied her with vocals. Kohala Live is the culmination of recordings selected from these two shows. Kohala member s are: Grammy Award winning Charles Michael Brotman, Charlie Recaido and Rupert Tripp, Jr.
