CD Reviews

Fantastic live album from the industrial pioneers
N. Durham | Philadelphia, PA | 02/14/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"In support of their comeback album, KMFDM released this live set chronicling their 2003 tour. "WWIII Live" is a simply awesome live album that shows the long running industrial outfit at the tightest they've sounded in years, with some great live sound quality and production value: something that their new label Sanctuary Records is known for doing (just listen to Ministry, Megadeth, Anthrax, etc.). "Blackball", "Brute", "Stars & Stripes", "Revenge", and of course, "Juke Joint Jezebel" and "Drug Against War" are brought to life live so intensely that it's going to be hard for even the most jaded KMFDM fan to not like this. Although it would have been nice if a double disc live album covering more of KMFDM's material would have been released instead, this is still an excellent live album, and a must own for KMFDM fans."

"i saw these guys(and girl) 3 times this year in support for the ww3 album, and this live cd of that tour is like a blast from the past, i enjoy kmfdm, and in order to enjoy them you have to have an open mind most of the time, but as soon as the first song opens no matter who u are, ya gunna bang some head. these guys are great and write cool songs and are super nice to the fans, this was the best live show they have ever done and with ray watts it just makes for pure bliss. if you hate kmfdm or missed the tour, check out this gem of a rockin live set list, you will be happy you did."
Maybe the dvd and an actual show are better

"i will say, this absolutely sucks on a cd! i mean to me, it just sounds like kmfdm were recording demo versions of songs. i mean, i have yet to actually hear the album ww3, but the songs from nihil and angst were a bit lame on here. maybe the dvd and ww3 album are better, and i am sure they are great in concert, but on here it does nothing when i can pop in nihil instead. too bad all of their older albums are increasingly hard to find....okay, maybe drug against war is totally awesome on this, but that is about all id ever listen to on this. get the dvd and all of the albums instead of this."
