Album Description

"Surrender", winner of the 2001 Unity Award for Sacramental Album of the Year, is a collection of both favorite and original inspirational songs. Kitty Cleveland wrote the title track for her father when he was wrongfully convicted of white-collar crimes and given a 10-year federal prison sentence. In searching for the hand of God in the midst of pain and chaos, Kitty's song echoes this universal quest to find meaning and consolation in our suffering.

"As a friend of the Cleveland family and knowing of Kitty's work, I was very excited to finally get to listen to this wonderful CD. Of course, Surrender was wonderful and very touching. Knowing what had happened to Carl Cleveland made this song especially heartbreaking for me. Kitty was singing some of my favorites on this CD, so really, what was not to like?
