CD Reviews

I'd actually give this 10 stars if I could...

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Probably some of Craig Armstrong's finest work. Some tracks weren't used in the original film, and were replaced with some hip hop tunes which I find was a huge mistake, as the score stands on it's own two legs. Tracks 5, 10, and 19 feature some of the greatest action music I've ever heard. Track 10 is very fast paced, while 19 is more slow and methodical, but equally intense. All of the other tracks are slow and beautiful, similar to Romeo and Juliet. All in all, a very good score, and much better than the domestic release, which features the music from the movie, and is rather disappointing. Any fan of Craig Armstrong, or soundtracks in general, would be silly to pass this one up, especially at the low price. I wish scores like this were released more often. Maybe that's what makes this one so good..."
