Wicked savior

""Wicked Savior" is one of the most interesting "country" records I've heard this year. No one but Kirk Rundstrom does country music like this. He mixes basic bluegrass and country sounds with everything from punk rock to Le Hot Jazz to gypsy yodels. The result is as exciting a musical document as you'll ever hear. Forget the rules, forget the formulas because Kirk Rundstrom simply doesn't do it by the rules or by the formulas. 'Outlaw" may be the most unusual and blow-your-wig-off song ever put on a "country" record. Other outstanding cuts include "Come Out and Play" and "Riders.""
Help Kirk Out!

"This album really is an amazing collection of music. Kirk is the lead singer/guitarist for the band Split Lip Rayfield from Bloodshot records. I have been a fan of SLR's for a few years now enjoying both their cd's and their amazing live shows with their brand of energized bluegrass/punk rock. Kirk's album goes above and beyond what SLR has put out so far. Musically he ventures out and explores a little bit with both different instruments and composition, but never strays too far from the sound that has made SLR a very unique band."
