Fury in 1984 and Kingdom Come 1988 .Lenny's songwriting is great master work He does a great job on Across The Universe. One thing that did shock Me by storm was an F--- You on the track Not Here To Be Your Friend the first F. word I have ever heard on any Stone Fury or Kingdom Come cd in history ."

"2006's Ain't Crying for the Moon is the tenth album from Lenny Wolf and his ever-changing cast of supporting musicians in Kingdom Come (actually, only the bassist changed on this one). I have to admit that of all the bands to emerge in the mid 80's, I never expected Kingdom Come to make it to ten albums and 20+ years. Like most folks, I heard "Get It On" on the radio in 1988 and write the band off as a Led Zeppelin wannabe. Well, this is one case where I'm happy to have been proven wrong.
Obviously there was more to Kingdom Come's sound than just Zeppelin worship, and over the years the band has evolved into one of the better melodic rock bands around. That holds true for Ain't Crying for the Moon. Wolf's voice is still something of an acquired taste, but it's also the driving force behind this band's sound, and he gives another great performance here. Ain't Crying for the Moon is a very polished, very mature album that is as bluesy and soulful as it is melodic and rocking. The album is full of great songs, but the monster prog/metal/ballad 8-minute title track is by far the best. The sublime cover of the Beatles' "Across the Universe" is another winner. There is also a remake of "Get It On" at the end of the album, though I'm not sure why Wolf felt it necessary to revisit that one.
If you're a Kingdom Come fan, you'll definitely want to check out Ain't Crying for the Moon. If you only remember them from their 1988 debut album, this is a great place to reacquaint yourself with the band.
