Synopsis

Product Description
He's been called a prophet, an innovator, a poet; whichever
you prefer, the emcee known as Killah Priest is
certainly one of the most vivid lyricists in Hip Hop. Priest
first entranced listeners on the classic track "B.I.B.L.E.
(Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth)" on GZA's
seminal debut LP Liquid Swords. Since then Priest has
continued to enthrall devotees of true Hip Hop with his
lush imagery, graphic storytelling and razor-sharp
rhymes. Now the Rap veteran and Wu affiliate returns
with "Elizabeth (Introduction To The Psychic)." Priest
delivers a solid full length of head nodders sure to satisfy
Wu-Tang fans worldwide all while staying true to his
spiritual side and his firm belief in the power of Hip Hop.
"Elizabeth" is the first release on Priest's own Proverb
Records. Production on "Elizabeth" is handled by
frequent Killah Priest collaborator DJ Woool.

CD Reviews

4.5 stars for his 8th solo
G$ | B-More, MD | 11/18/2009
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Priest returns with his 8th solo, and just 5 months after his last album was released, and this is the 4th solo he put out in last 26 months (and had an album with Chief Kamachi come out in that period). He has been real busy lately, and this is probably tied for my 2nd favorite album of his (with "View from Masada" 2000 ), he also has 1 classic "Priest Offerings" - 2007), a few 4 star albums "Heavy Mental" - 1998, "Exorcist" - 2009, "Black August" - 2003, a borderline 3.5/4 star album in "Behind the Stained Glass" - 2008, and a 3.5 star album in "Priesthood" - 2001. Not to mention some albums with Sunz of Man, his album with Chief Kamachi and some work with The Horsemen, it's obvious he's a well defined rap veteran. This one is his longest, with 23 songs on it and over 77 minutes, but hardly any filler material, 1 almost classic, 19 good or real good songs, and just 3 that are ok. No guests at all, just Priest and all production is handled by DJ Woool (did majority of "Behind the Stained Glass" album and also did all of "Exorcist" and he does a decent job. As usual you get alot of deep and thought provoking lyrics through the album, and once again he does it nicely. A must have album from a grerat and underrated emcee.

"that sums it up pretty much on this killah priest effort. a good release and of course killah comes with the dope lyrics . the production is all done by dj whool who is talented however some of the beats hear start sounding too identical much more so than 9th wonder and dj premier. nevertheless this is a dope cd and i bought it and it is worth the purchase so all real hip hoppers go get this!"
Outstanding album, but wait...

"who the hell is Elizabeth, anyway? Well it probably doesn't matter, but it does make this album more intriguing. I didn't expect much from this, considering that it's his fourth ? album in 2 years, but to my surprise, this one is great. I love the production. And as we all know, mister priest always comes correct with his rapping. I think this is his best since he debuted, possibly tied with the offering, haven't checked the albums in between though. I enjoy this very much and every hiphoper should buy it."
