Suas Síos is the latest album from Kíla - their 10th studio album and it is overflowing with the effusive invention and energy that Kíla bring to their funky brand of trad. It is five years since their last release and the album reflects the twists and turns of their non-stop gigging and, as the arresting cover (by Dutch artist Marije Braakman) suggests, the music is cartwheeling, freewheeling, light, uplifting, joyful, sensual and most of all colourful. The music displays a band happy with itself - the musicians sharing freely with each other and the music flowing easily. The album was produced by Monkstown Maestro Karl Odlum.
