Synopsis

Album Description
2007 CD reissue of the 1978 debut album from Power Popsters The Key. German Volker Langefeld and Englishman Alan Warren were the brains behind The Key, whose 1978 album "Fit Me In" is a largely undiscovered jewel in the '70s Power Pop crown. Whilst similarly conceived long players by the likes of Klaatu and Liverpool Echo - who also wore their Paul McCartney/Emitt Rhodes/Eric Carmen influences on their sleeves - have become acknowledged classics, The Key's debut has remained a mystery to all but the lucky few; until now! Rev-Ola.

CD Reviews

Best Surprise I Have Heard This Year
ExtravaganzaSD | 02/29/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I bought this based on some postings of people raving about this album so I decided to take a chance. This is soooooooo great! I am so glad I chanced this one! The previous reviewer is right this is beautiful McCartney pop.

Emitt Rhodes also has to get a mention as a kindred spirit. If you like Emitt Rhodes, I PROMISE you will like this album! Wow, wow and wow!"
Good art-school power pop
G. Putman | Las Vegas, NV United States | 11/19/2007
(4 out of 5 stars)

"These guys should have been much bigger than they were, but I think that their timing was just a little off. If only they had come out 2 or 3 years earlier they may have been a household name with art-school pop fans. Some of the songs show a bit of a Paul McCartney influence, but are much more experimental. Basically, if you are into bands like (especially) Klatuu, or even 10cc, then this will be right up your alley. Get it!!"
