Highlights of the album include Shreveport to LA and Not Ready for Love, written by #1 hit songwriter Billy Montana (Jo Dee Messina s Bring on the Rain, Garth Brooks, More than a Memory ); Out of Nowhere, written by Kristen Hall of Country Supergroup, Sugarland, and the title track, Gunslinger, written by Thomas.

This country music star is also a combat veteran of the 75th Ranger Regiment who fought in the battle of Somalia as a member of the special operations assault unit Task Force Ranger. Their story was recounted in the movie Blackhawk Down. For his efforts that day, he was awarded the bronze star for valor. His critically acclaimed independent release, Flags of our Fathers, a tribute to our troops and their families, sold over 25,000 units.
