CD Reviews

Remembering the fallen
Roxann M. Chester Dedrick | FL, USA | 03/15/2005

"This album is AWESOME. Coming from a long line of Military- I was proud to hear the songs on this album. You cry at the thought of those fallen, yet you feel your chest expand at the thought of what those fallen have done for us. Words can't describe this CD fully. Whether you like Country or not, whether you are from military background or not- this is one to have in your collection. I will be buying more to give to my nephews that serve and their families- as well as the soldiers I write to in Iraq. Listen to the samples to get an Idea- not a hillbilly CD- it's a heartfelt CD."

"I am in the Air Force, stationed at Lajes Field, Azores. Keni Thomas and Cornbread perfomed for us tonight. He put on a great show and his music is wonderful and heartfelt. I highly recommend this CD to anyone, military or not. Thanks Keni!"
Tasteful and thought-provoking,yet still lovely on the ears!

"I have never been involved with the military, so I didn't think a military album would rock my world- but this record snuck up on me. Like Kristofferson or Mellencamp, Thomas tells stories without being overly jingoistic or opportunistic. During this time of unrest, I found this record to be extremely valuable in putting a human heart/face to the thousands of soldiers I see on the evening news each night. The guests are amazing and well-utilized. My favorite song is "7 Days" (with Michael McDonald), but all these songs serve an important role in this biopic album. Way to go Nashville- you finally did patriotic right."
